The Church invests in Her youth by providing faith formation and sacramental preparation for students. CCE provides the opportunity for children and teenagers to receive the sacraments: Reconciliation, Holy Communion, and Confirmation.
In preparing for the sacrament of reconciliation, a student learns about sin, grace, penance, God's mercy, and how to confess. They are required to learn basic prayers to satisfy the need for the sacrament of reconciliation.
In preparing for the sacrament of Holy Communion, the student learns about the Holy Mass, the Eucharist, prayers in Mass, and how to participate in Holy Mass. They are required to learn on how to recieve communion and the response when receiving Holy Communion.
In preparing for the sacrament of confirmation, the student learns about the seal of confirmation, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and re-learns basic Catholic teaching. They are required to attend a Confirmation retreat and other items to satisfy the requirement.
