  • WHAT IS THE ANOINTING OF THE SICK?

    The anointing of the sick, by which the Church commends the faithful who are dangerously ill to the suffering and glorified Lord in order that he relieve and save them, is conferred by anointing them with oil and pronouncing the words prescribed in the liturgical books. (CAN. 998)

  • WHO CAN RECEIVE THE ANOINTING OF THE SICK?

    A baptized Catholic.

  • WHO CAN ADMINISTER THE ANOINTING OF THE SICK?

    A Catholic Priest.

  • HOW TO REQUEST THE ANOINTING OF THE SICK?

    Call the Sacred Heart Parish Office and request for an Anointing of the Sick. The priest can arrange a visit to the home, nursing home, or hospital. 


    Another option, the parishioner can call in advance and ask if a priest is available, then, bring the sick person to parish office for the Anointing of the Sick.
